just as much as i love the harry potter series, i am in love with phillip pullman's his dark materials trilogy. the books consist of three books: "the golden compass", "the subtle knife" and "the amber spyglass". what's even more exciting is that they are making them into movies and the first one comes out in december starring nicole kidman and daniel craig!!!!! it makes me so freakin excited that i'm about to pee my pants just thinking about it.

if you want to get a head start on this movie...or if you want to read a really fantastic fantasy series then you should read these books!!!! they are seriously AMAZING!

I absolutely love His Dark Materials Trilogy! Phillip Pullman is a genius. Don't be fooled these books aren't just for children. The storyline is amazing and captures your attention from one book to the next.

Even though they are making the movies now (which I was waiting for!) it's always best to read the books. You won't be disappointed!
