The new LED technology is proving to be a catalyst and inspiration for creative new designs. In addition to being energy efficient, LEDs are lightweight and give off a clean, attractive light. Designer Luc Schouten employs this technology in his patent pending Floating Lamp design that uses helium filled latex balloons anchored by a small LED base. The design features multiple light effects such as strobe, flash and glow and has a temporary 10 hour lifespan, which is perfect for use at clubs, house parties, discos or other fun events.
