All I can say is genius!!

Canada's Thera-P-Products has just introduced the first all-solar electric bicycle. Photovoltaic cells in the wheels collect the sun's rays, and a motor mounted on the front fork converts them to 19-mph power.

Also availabe as a conversion kit to retrofit your current bike.

What is great about this bicycle is how it offers a little help when your legs tire from your ride through PCH or when you just want to take in the wonderful scenery. The designer of this bike built in solar panels into the wheels which power a 500 watt motor which is able to push the rider along at about 30 kph. But in my experience it was slower than this speed. It was nice to have a helping hand though.
