The soapnut is one of the best things that could happen to skin, laundry and the environment - oh, and your wallet. They are 100% natural and fully bio-degradable (i.e. they go on the compost), free of colourings or aggressive chemicals.
Ironically, the shell of the soapnut (the part that contains the saponin) is a leftover, while the nut itself is used in the pharmaceutical industry.
