While Dali is my favorite Artist, Magritte is very close. Magritte is a witty and amusing artist who is one of the greats of the surrealistic movement. Even though as a child he saw his mothers body being pulled out of the water after drowning, Magritte has created a bountiful of beautiful images that show the inside of his mind and a tour of his dreams, I consider him to be a true inspiration to my own art.

i've always thought of rene magritte as a 'happy' surrealist. this book makes me smile! softcover but a great edition to anyone's art library.

i missed a magritte show at lacma? oh no.
