    *The* great Joy Division album. There's a good reason that this album has influenced so many musicians in the years since Ian Curtis' death. There are such amazing, heart rending songs on here. In retrospect, Curtis' band mates couldn't believe they didn't see the foreboding in the material, but they couldn't separate themselves from the songs. It's such a tragedy in so many ways, and Unknown Pleasures stands as the reminder to what the world lost. An amazingly unique voice of a generation.
