Think like an end user, not in a design bubble! This book explains how and why design effects the usability of everyday objects - a classic example being a door that doesn't clearly define push or pull. Though some examples are a bit dated, the concepts are not. Your every day life would be simpler and easier if more of Don Norman's ideas were applied to objects, especially technology. Design simplicity is not dumbing down - being clear and concise about interaction one of the greatest challenges in usability design, and in life. (via Amazon)
