Although this Bird Salt Pepper set, designed by Chris Koens, is maybe a bit too cute for its own good, I do like the space where salt & pepper shakers meet toys. For those who find the slightly cloying cuteness of this set appealing, the stand also positions the shakers to look at each other, just like lovebirds. Aww.

If I don't quit buying salt & peppers, I will have to start calling myself a collector. But THIS is probably the most charming little set I've seen in quite a while. By Dutch by Design, these little ceramic friends sit facing eachother like little lovers on a wire perch until you pluck them out to regurgitate seasonings on your food.
