  It is fantastic for any runner to be able to track the most important aspects of their run. It is GPS based, so it tracks your mileage, your location, your speed and more. It is so awesome!

  If you're an athlete, this is definitely for you. And if you aren't one yet, this only somewhat bulky watch can certainly help you get there. With a built in GPS receiver and an included heart rate monitor, you can know your: 1. Speed 2. Distance 3. Pace (Miles/Kilometers per minute, or minutes per mile) 4. Heart rate 5. Basic map - shows Compass, marked points, Latitude/Longitude and a cookie trail of your activity 6. and of course the time! You can set alarms to inform you when certain milestones have been reached (such as distances or speeds) or alerts to inform you when you drop out of, say, your desired heart rate zone. You can also mark points on the map and have the GPS show you how to get back to them with a simple arrow to follow and a distance reading. There is also a free trial offer for the website motionbased.com, which allows you to upload all your data and play back your exact movements overlaid on a Google Map. Overall, it's VERY cool, and a great gift for fathers day.

  Simply awesome! Garmin has made running more fun. The GPS is really accurate and it has a lot of easy to use features. I can't imagine running without it. It also comes with software that you can use to download your runs onto your computer.

  I have discovered a brilliant overview of the Garmin Forerunner 405 heart rate monitor. This Garmin 405 I believe just the thing for the serious runner, but works just as well for bicyclelists in addition to serious fitness center exercise sessions.
