A perfect Valetine pair - Robert Plant & Alison Krauss (and T-Bone Burnett's); "Raising Sand" is a beautiful collaboration from 2 of my favorite artists. If you like Blues, Rock, Pop, Americana, John Fogerty, Levon Helm, Mark Knopler or Springsteen you willno doubt like this record. Its up for a "Record of the Year" Grammy Nomination as well.

A gem of an album from two amazing singers with extremely rare gifts of vocal integrity. (via amazon)

Definitely the year's mot dynamic duo. Great soulful songs, with the gravel of Plant's voice perfectly balanced with Krauss's beautiful tones. It's got a great, old-time-y feel as well, thanks to T Bone Burnett's production.

Fabulous and lovely and melodic and not as surprisingly so as you would think... as soon as I saw "Robert Plant" and "Alison Krauss" on the album I though "oh, that could be good," and you know what? It is.

Hopefully Led Zeppelin won't decide to tour without Plant while he tours with Alison Krauss because that would be absurdly idiotic.
