I may be a fan of the iPhone but I never leave home without my "Crackberry"

Verizon Wireless gets into the worldphone game with today's release of the the Blackberry 8830, their first true world/smartphone that's actually usable.
Rocking a dual network setup (CDMA/GSM), the 8830 allows you to get EVDO speeds in the US and when you jetset to Europe or some other foreign country, you skip over to the GSM network (the standard in pretty much the rest of the world).
Definitely a hot device and the way to go on the VZW network if you want a blackberry and travel. (via Engadget)

I've had this device for about 14 months now and have nothing but GREAT things to say about it! This is a CDMA/GSM phone so will work both in the USA and overseas! My email consistently pours in and not once has this device failed to retrieve my email or frozen on me! That's saying a lot for a PDA type device!

Love it, love it, love it! The Worldwide feature is super handy and convenient for travelers. The trackball feature is easy to use, making the phone easy to navigate on the move. While cell phone junkies may miss the camera feature that's not available on this phone initially, the other capabilities make up for it quickly.

My cousin got an iPhone recently which made me realize that I too needed to join the internet age and finally purchase a PDA. Not a big fan of the touchscreen but I also was not interested in having a mini laptop that wouldn't fit in my evening clutch...luckily my service provider offered the blackberry curve which is about the same size with a handy QWERTY keyboard for the girl that wants to stay constantly connected to EVERYTHING.

Recently got my first blackberry and I think I might actually die if I don't carry it with me at all times. Like seriously stop breathing. I've become a bit of a slave to the flashing red light. Don't care though. Love it. Looooooove it.
Now if only I could stop dropping it on the ground.

I've been using this phone for about 10 months now. I have had no complaints. I used it as a phone, for email and also to connect my laptop to the internet. The internet access for my laptop is blazing fast, faster than entry level DSL service.
