My grandmother always had little violet candies and I loved them when I was a kid. I rediscovered these violet candies about 10 years ago and they not only taste good, but I think of grandma whenever I eat one.

Instead of freshening your breath with mint or cinnamon like everyone else, why not try violets? These taste surprisingly good, and they are definitely addictive. I think they make kind of a neat stocking stuffer as well. I stock up on 'em at Cost Plus World Market. (via loft3)
