People either love this movie or hate. Which is what happens with brilliant pieces of work.
I LOVE Heat. Most crime capers are saturated every 5 minutes with violence or melodrama (Scarface :P). Heat is subtle and brooding (delivered successfully by a huge cast of amazing actors). Only actors of this caliber could pull this off. Which is why I think the same style didn't work for Mann's Miami Vice (boo Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell).
I'm not a Pacino or Deniro fan, but these two roles where perfect for them, allowing them to shine at what they do best.
Oh and the movie is punctuated with two of the most nail biting, adrenaline rushing action scenes (well done). (via Amazon)

Loosely based on the Los Angeles shoot out of 1997 comes the action packed thriller HEAT! Staring Robert DeNiro & Al Pacino on opposite sides of the law. Will these two infamous figures cancel each other out or decide upon a superior assault!
