The artist Christo and his wife/partner Jeanne-Claude conceived "a golden river" of Gates 26 years before it was approved by Mayor Michael Bloomberg. The Gates is one of the largest public art intstallations in history, and this book documents the political hurdles and creative process involved with such an artistic accomplishment. (via Amazon)
