Chef's Choice 3-Stage Knife Sharpener
Most people use dull knives in their kitchens and don't even know it. They hack at vegetables, tear at the thin skins of tomatoes, and rip their way through meats with dull tools. A sharp knife is a pleasure to use and makes cooking easier and more fun. This electric sharpener is a quick and simple way to keep your kitchen knives reasonably sharp. Don't get me wrong, this sharpener works well and will give you a good cutting edge in about one minute which means you will leave it out on your counter and use it every week or two. Most modern knives are rust proof because they are made from special hard steels. This makes them a little more difficult to sharpen well. The Chef's choice works well with modern steels. All you do is turn the thing on and run your knife through the little slots a couple of times. Usually, you use just the last two slots. Takes about a minute. This is so easy you'll use it a lot more often than a manual system and your knives will cut much better. I've got several knife sharpening systems at home and keep this one on my kitchen counter for regular use. It's a well-made and handy tool.
