I have found this handy little gadget useful for a number of purposes. It was originally designed as a gizmo to operate lights in your home so that potential burglars would think someone was at home when you are away.
It is great for that. I, myself, use it to turn off and on my TV as my set does ot have an automatic shut off. As I always fall asleep while the boob tube is on I find it very inconvenient when it wakes me up in the middle of the night. So I set my Smith and Wesson nifty light timer to turn off my TV in an hour or two and I get a restful night of sleep. It is also terrific for my growing lights for my plants. Now they can get the right amount of rays to maximize their blooms.
