Kwanzaa decorations include fruits and vegetables laid out on a mkeka (straw mat or cloth.) Specifically, you're going to need one ear of corn for each child in the family. If there are no kids, you'll just be using the 2 ears of corn. The corn goes on either side of the mkeka. They'll flank the Kinara, which is the candleholder with 7 candles, one per Kwanzaa principle. (phew!)

The other fruits and vegetables go in the mazao (basket). Traditional inclusions are pumpkins, squash, bananas and sweet potatoes--and whatever else you like.
