The reason why I recommend this watch is, in my opinion, pretty plain to see. Its a great looking watch! As all BR 01s its case is a 46mm square equipped with scratch resistant sapphire crystal, 100m water resistance, and the works. A few features that make this piece unique are the dark grey dial and rubber strap, the Big Date function, and the fact that only 500 of these watches will be manufactured world wide. The dark grey dial and black hour markers and hands are meant to evoke the stealth and camouflage of special forces units; hence the name Commando. the big date function, as its name suggests, offers a larger date display then the usual. This is thanks to having one disc for each unit working together mechanically to display the date. This is probably amongst the most useful mechanical watch complications, as it makes reading the date a lot easier without requiring a magnifying glass on the crystal.
