Take that Urban Decay Potion Primer! There is a new principessa in town and she totally smacks you down! Urban Decay Potion Primer has been the go to product for beauties in the know everywhere to keep their eyeshadow in place all day and the color true! The product itself is terrific. The hugest drawback (Urban Decay Marketing Department, are you listening?) is the crappy packaging. It is in a tube with a wand. Once you actually think you are out of product, there is still quite a bit left. However you have to pry the stopper out to get every bit of product. I know you beauty junkies know what I'm talking about.
Well Too Faced has answered our prayers with their new eyeshadow base, Shadow Insurance. First of all the packaging is a dream. It comes in a tube!! You can get out every last bit of product without needing power tools! Imagine that? And let's talk about the product. It glides on (the consistency is a bit thinner and easier to spread than the Urban Decay, IMO). Shadows go on true and bright and last all day. I even did a comparison test, with Potion Primer on one eye and Shadow Insurance on the other. I personally like the consistency of the Too Faced better than the Urban Decay. On the true test of shadows gliding on, color staying true and being long lasting the Too Faced worked just as well as the Urban Decay. I should also add that I have oily skin and my shadows tend to crease quickly without a primer. Shadow Insurance has worked its way into my heart and into my holy grail product list!

This is the ONLY shadow primer that I've ever usued that really works! I use it with my Dior Jazzclub kit for a dramatic smoky look. After all day at work and a late night out I walked in to my bathroom to remove my makeup and found that my eye makeup looked as if I'd just applied it. I'm very impressed!

THE best eyeshadow primer. In a convenient tube form, you can squeeze every last drop out, and a tear drop size is all you need for your lids, brows, and lips. Infused with Vitamin E, it re-hydrates and conditions said parts.
Another point of difference is the fact that it stays moist longer so if youre like me that stands there and ponders which mood of green i want to go for, it will wait for me to make my decision.
*primers stop working once they set and dry.*

This amazing lil product helps stop your eye shadow from melting, fading, blurring and creasing by transforming any eye shadow into a perfectly blendable, color-drenched, intensified version of itself, then locks it down perfectly 'til you take it off.
