Well, I really liked the look of the PowerShot G9, but couldn't REALLY justify it because my Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX2 was just so similar. But then this came out. The Canon PowerShot G10. And now I have a reason to get a new camera.

Did you say Canon G10?

If you didn't, you should have. The G series kicks some serious kick. And then how. Just as I was starting to think I would never get the G9, the G10 comes out and makes it even more likely true.

This is just about as close to an SLR as a point-and-shoot gets.

Overall a great camera. If you want lots of functionality, but don't want to lug around a DSLR, this is a great middle ground to choose. Pictures are stunning. I recommend getting a Tripod if you want to use higher ISO settings in low light, but other than that....built like a tank. Nothing bad so far.
