It's a fun easy way to find new and old friendships. You have a lot of freedom as to how your profile page is going look and there are a lot of fun mini games to play as well.

Good for keeping in touch with friends

Description

Myspace has been taken over by spammers, phishers, attention whores, and dummy profiles. It really does little in terms of helping facilitate existing friendships. Facebook, on the other hand, feels much more intimate, personal, and safe. Its a much better way of preserving a "circle of trust" and making sure it doesn't get infiltrated by unwanted "friends".

Facebook is one of the few social networking pages that really works. You dont have to be a computer geek to get started. You can see what your friends are up to in the real world and get in contact with long lost family/friends.

Beware though - you can get addicted to people watching!

OK, it's not so much Facebook I can't live without but my friends. We all need companions or else life is just too boring to deal. But Facebook is a fun way to keep track of everyone. And, unlike MySpace, I don't feel dirty after using it.

I really like Facebook. I have a MySpace page which I mainly use to keep track of bands that I like. For social networking I really like Facebook so much better. The UI is clean, and there are not so many badly designed pages with huge background images that many people insist on using on their profiles that make things load slow. It's 2007 people not 1996, live in the now!

It keeps me in touch with my schoolmates, as well as old friends I haven't seen in 10 years.

The best social network site, now extensible with plug-in apps that you can optionally integrate with your profile. Use Shelfari for books, Flixster for movies, 30 Boxes for your calendar, etc. A ThisNext extension will probably come along soon.

I do love the facebook. Why you ask? Easy. MySpace is trashy. I have been unimpressed with the layout and management of MySpace since day one. I think the 23 year old kid who came up with the clean, fabulous look and feel of Facebook is a genius.
Plus, I can keep an eye on my cousins who are off at college this way!
