Ireland's climate provides is ideal for the cultivation of oatmeal . . . which may explain why this is my favorite brand. Although it has been in production since 1800, McCann's production standards are thoroughly modern and environmentally sound. Even if you don't like oatmeal for breakfast, you may enjoy the Irish Oatmeal Breakfast Cake (see recipe above.)

One of my Favorite breakfast meals. Nutty, warm and satisfying this meal will get you through till lunch. At only 150 calories and a whopping 4 grams of fiber you do your body good with Irish! (via McCanns)

McCann's has been making steel cut Irish oats for over 150 years. I love oatmeal, but what prompted me to recommend this product was the package design, especially the tin. I saw the container in a Soho coffee shop/ bakery and couldn't resist the urge to buy some, eat it all in one sitting and then use the can to store things in. (via McCann's)
