The cupcake boutique trend has been in full swing for a few years now but before recently, it meant driving to Beverly Hills for Sprinkles, at least for Angelians. I recently found about about Dots which makes incredibly moist (perhaps a bit too much) cupcakes. Their flavor combinations are inventive and delicious. My favorite part about them is they are much more manageable being located in Pasadena and they have a cool mini-sampler box you can get for $15 to share with friends and coworkers.

We passed this place a couple months ago and it inspired my wife to hollar "flip a bitch" within earshot of her infant child. We had friends in the car who treated us to cupcakes and we found them divine. Honestly, I'm not sure these measure up to Sprinkles, but pretty tasty.
