This faux-mystery farce - with its ensemble cast of weirdos, a mysterious invitation to a party at a mansion at which someone is mysteriously murdered, and Eileen Brennan as a star - is strangely similar to Murder By Death, a film made ten years earlier. Coincidence - or PLOT?! PS This one has Madeline Kahn. It wins?

Clue is a dark comedy based on the board game of the same name. Six guests are invited to a strange house and must cooperate with the staff to solve a murder mystery. If you have not seen this film yet, then you would be surprised to see how three different endings turned out.

Also, sometime I feel like I am playing "Clue" (board game) from watching this movie. :-)

Great for developing logic skills, this game was one of my favorites until the video-tape version came out. If you don't remember it, think low-tech "Scene It," only on Beta. Yes, I was one of those losers whose parents thought Beta was the wave of the future. Don't tell them I said that, though. They might throw their 8-track collection out in protest.
