Although her voice is gorgeous, it is always Suzanne Vega's lyrics that grab me. On this album, I am always struck by the amazing array of feelings she is able to describe. "Small Blue Thing" reminds me of feeling lost and alone in a big city, or left behind after a broken relationship. Each song has that satisfying sense of being understood by someone.
