  Ah, ice. Loyal companion and complement to beverages the world over. Until it decides it likes evaporation and melts. Then you get a watery drink. The Spherical Ice Tray Set comes with 2, sphere shaped molds to create perfect (yes, you guessed it) spherical ice. There's more to the ice than just looks though! Spheres have the least surface area of any (regular) object. Compared to regular ice cubes, ice spheres will melt much more slowly - preserving that perfect mix of cold and drink for that much longer. Set of 2 molds for $16. Made in Japan.

  Allegedly, ice spheres have less surface area than cubes and melt more slowly, but I think they just look cooler! It's a bit pricey at $16. ($14.40 for Museum of Modern Art Members), but less than a Japanese product that goes for about $170.. It would be the perfect gift for the drink connoisseur who has everything!

  Forget those $200 ice sphere-making machines. This spherical ice tray is only $16 for a set of two. Why sphere ice? For Scotch lovers, the round ice is slower melting and therefore slower to dilute the booze.
