This is probably the single most important tool in my kitchen as I spend many hours cutting and preparing fruits and veggies. I use Wusthof because I like their balance and weight, especially the larger knives.

Dont question the Germans about their knives!

If you never had a set of quality knives, you will never go back once you get these into your kitchen. Like with almost everything in life, you really do get what you pay for. These knives are sublime and make you feel like a real chef as you slice the crust off that PB&J!

Knives this good will take care of you for the rest of your life as long as you take care of them: warm water and soap only - never in the dishwaser. (via tiburon)

Great weight and balence, beautiful edge. Wustof Classic knives are the best knives for the kitchen. Start by buying a set first. They can get expensive if you buy them one by one.

Everything in the kitchen is easier with good, sharp knives. I depend on three Wüsthof blades: a paring knife, a 10-inch Chef’s knife, and a serrated bread knife. The serrated knife is good for bread, tomatoes, and shaving big bricks of chocolate into meltable shards. The other two do everything else for me.

These are the basic linear counterpart to the Henckels, and they last forever. The handles on these fit me better than the Henckels.
