Everybody loves blackout shades because they allow you to sleep in until noon. But I've never thought about how having blackout shades actually saves you money on your energy bills. By blocking 99% of light from coming into your house, less air conditioning is needed during summer! These have a 3-pass thermal coating for extra heat resistance, keeping your house cool and you asleep. How lovely.
