Donating $15 buys about one years worth of clean water for a family. Check out this site!!
We need water to LIVE, so we all deserve to have water to drink.
Lifestraw filters viruses, parasites and bacteria.

To add a bit of perspective to this designer water collection, while we marvel at all the different ways water can be presented to us as a lifestyle product, there are billions of people, that not only can't afford a bottle of water on a salary of a dollar a day, but don't even have access to safe water to drink.
This is where Lifestraw comes in, as one of the products that was specifically designed to resolve that problem. Shaped like and oversize straw, the system works in realtime, which means that all you have to do is find water, put one end in the water, your lips at the other end, and drink potable water free of germs and other contaminants.
The lifestraw can filter 700 litres, or a single person's need for a year. (via oO's very eclectic)

Okay, I'm gonna go there again. This is one of the best/smartest things I've seen in, well, FOREVER. Just $15 provides clean water for someone in need for an entire YEAR. Yeah, just $15. Wicked, huh? Well, I know what I'm doing with my allowence this month.......

I used to sell a version of this straw developed by an American company. We sold primarily to the US military. I have been "sold" on the usefulness of such a product. It is great to see it developed so well and in significant distributation. This will mean life over death for many many people worldwide. Brava!

I live in the third world. Everyone struggling to exist in Africa should have one of these. Which accounts for millions! Anyone prepared to sponsor the purchasing and distribution of these Lifestraws? They could be definite lifesavers on a daily basis. Brilliant!
