These hooks are designed to teach you how to hold and stabilize the barbell properly during squats. The hooks put your hands in a postion that eliminates shoulder impingement, rotator cuff strain and lower back hyperextension. It's a great idea and design. But they really gotta come up with a more appropriate name.
