Eternelle - The best of Edith Piaf. There has never been another chanteuse quite like Edith Piaf - many have strived for such greatness, but you can never top the original. Once you're hooked, go see La Vie en Rose - c'est bon.

A truly timeless classic, regardless of the film just produced. Edith Piaf had a very interesting way of rolling her R's that is not done in standard French. The songs take you to another era, yet the things that last are her trilling voice and moving lyrics.

éternelle is a compilation CD of some her most famous and best work. It includes the universally known 'La vie an rose' as well as some more obscure, but equally solid work.
