Not quite as soulful as his last - Guero - but a great album to add to your collection

Awesome album. Not his best ever but damn good.

Beck is an artist I always have trouble nailing down and categorizing and I'm comforted that it seems I'm not the only one. I can recommend The Information after listening to it once, but I find that, though I enjoyed it, I don't remember much about what I just heard. I plan to listen to it a few more times in the next day or so to see if I can wrap my mind around it.

Oh, hey! There's a DVD included with this album. I just started watching it, but I can't say that it is helping me understand or define Beck. (via notcot)
