Description
Like a helmet for your banana (no, not that one). Such a clever solution to the squashed-banana-at-the-bottom-of-the-bag problem!
It claims to "fit the vast majority of bananas" and has small holes to let your fruit breath. Comes in yellow, green, blue, purple and red.

Nothing ruins a perfectly packed lunch from home than a smashed banana. I want my potassium in one piece thank you. That goodness for what seems like a pointless miracle ... the banana guard. This little doohickey keeps your banana safe from smashing and if your banana does end up smashed ... I bet it's that weird guy in IT. I'm just sayin.

Oh my God. How could you not love and need this?
There is a glow in the dark version that's unavailable at this time. Someday it will be mine.
Love this question from the FAQ on the web site:
Q: "Is there a battery attachment?"
A: No. The Banana Guard was designed for its intended purpose only as a device to prevent banana trauma during transport. (via asharfin)

Considering that I'll throw a banana out every time I come across a soft spot, this thing is pretty useful.

We all love bananas, but I hate cracking into one that is all bruised and soft. The Banana Guard keeps those sweet fruits cozy and protected. These are perfect for those sack lunches and lunches that get smashed into those backpacks. The Banana Guard is also the maker of other fun fruit carriers. (via Baby Gadget)
