The spatial play between black and white behind these koi vessels elevate them from cutesy to sharp. I love that they have tops. It adds utility that makes them more than decorative objects.

Koi Porcelain Jars. A great story by itself can be a great gift. A story behind the gift, makes the gift grand. In Asian cultures, the Koi means luck and prosperity. These three jars make nice messengers of good tidings. Set of 3 hand-painted porcelain jars for $38 is almost too good to be true. (via kayzee)
