Sometimes a cast is assembled that has such onscreen chemistry, you don't want the film to end. Matt Damon gave a chilling performance in The Talented Mr. Ripley, Jude Law was breathtakingly gorgeous, and Gwyneth Paltrow gripping with her female lead. If you haven't seen this film since theaters, it is time to have another look.

Really an excellent film. It may not be my absolute favorite but there are few like it. Excellent casting and acting with a story you will keep thinking about for days. It's a drama, thriller and character study all in one. Masterful period and place settings in 1950's Europe.

Tom Ripley is a lowly piano player who lives in a fantasy world, desperate for attention. By a serious of coincidences he is sent on am innocuous mission of wheeling in a magnate's playboy of a son, partying in Italy. From there it gets more chilling and dramatic.

This movie is SO weird. BUT it has quite the allstar cast so its worth seeing anyways. (via amazon.com)
