This is a cool effect for lighting the night. Whether you choose to place these under the bed as shown or above your bed, on a shelf or any other place you want to create some mood lighting; there will be a fantastic glow in any color you choose.

I do NOT recommend this item!!! I bought 3 of these for grandchildren. I sent 2 as gifts for twins and kept one for a birthday in Dec. When the twins tried to put the gel covers on theirs they pulled an end off to slide the cover on and completely disconnected the internal wiring. When I tried to assemble the one I still had (to understand the problem) I accidentally did the same exact thing they did!!
The design of the gel covers is set up to destroy the lighting before it's ever used and the damage is in done absolutely innocently, but absolutely thoroughly!!!
Once I got over the shock of what I had done I realized the gel covers don't even fit to begin with as they are both too short nor are the wide enough to completely cover from side to side.
What a disappointment!!

The exact same thing happened to me. My daughter opened it for Christmas and as soon as I tried to put one of the covers on the wiring was destroyed. Both ends easily come off, including the one that immediately ruined what SHOULD have been a fun Christmas present! Poorly made item. I would not recommend.
