Five Live Yardbirds - The Yardbirds
Description
This is the first album by the Yardbirds, and one of my favorites. This early lineup features Eric Clapton (it was during this time the Clapton is God graffiti started appearing everywhere). I also enjoyed the Jeff Beck years of the Yardbirds (once Beck left and just Jimmy Page remained they lost that blues edge and went into a more psychedelic sound I don't care for). With that being said while I prefer Beck's solo stuff to Clapton's, my favorite era of the Yardbirds is the early years with Clapton. In fact it was discovering this CD (and the Bluesbreaker stuff) that gave me a new appreciation for Clapton.
