Major cities such as San Francisco and Washington D.C. are adopting hybrid technology for their public transportation uses. As the price for hybrid vehicles drops, the number of hybrids on the road rises. Experts believe that hybrids provide necessary alleviation to the country s ever-increasing demand for petroleum.
