These socks are recommended for long flights to prevent feet swelling. If you're pregnant, they also reduce the risk of blood clots in your legs (caused by increased blood volume pooling in the legs). Convinced me, so I bought them in Khaki and found them relatively comfortable for extra snug socks. (via Distant Lands)

These socks exert a gradual compression on your leg, stimulating blood flowing and resisting uncomfortable swelling. They are said to "put wings on your feet!". I want feet wings!

No but really, swollen feet during traveling stink. Even if you can't visibly see it, your circulation goes to pot when sitting in a chair for a long time. These are great for pregnant women too to reduce blood clots. Highly recommended - Oh and they look like dress socks so people won't know you're circulating AND looking professional.
