A Classic. In today’s busy civilization a majority of cooking is about speed and convenience and it makes it difficult to justify the maintenance of Cast Iron products. Le Creuset is enameling their products and don’t need the same attention but with the same performance of material. Perfect for slow cooking and pretty enough to be served out off. One of few products that can go from cook to serve.

Want...need..must have this!!! I love it - my mother used to have one but it has mysteriously disappeared!! Great multitasker in the kitchen - lasts forever. PLUS the cast iron is a fantastic conductor of heat so you can cook at lower temps!

Le Crueset is one of the world's finest in cast-iron enamel cookware. This big dutch oven is a great pot for making large amounts of food. It can braise whole racks of short ribs or make a massive amount of jambalaya. Because of its material nature, it can also go right into the oven.

Whoa, that's a big mother! I don't have this size (yet!) but I can see how I just might need it. (via Stephanie Lucianovic)

This is a serious multi-tasker. I can boil pasta, build sauces and soups, cook beans and lentils, or stew baby artichokes in it. Because of the cast iron core, it holds steady, even heat and the porcelain enamel coating makes clean-up ridiculously easy. Plus, the brilliant red really brightens up my tiny kitchen. Mine is fire engine red.

I have my grandmother’s set of these pans. All you need are 4 pans: Dutch oven is great for braising and boiling water. You can even roast a chicken in it!
