These handsome rain boots are rom the 'original' maker of rubber boots, Wellingtton, aka Wellies. I am fond of Wellies, but with the new cheap imitation at $20, it's hard to cough up $98 but the real thing. Well, it would be easy if I didn't require so many boots. I go through them like nobody's business (dogs chew on them, yard work, etc.).

These are for men and women, though when it comes to unisex sizing, it mostly fits men. I would raise an eyebrow if I saw a guy wearing these. In a good way.

Hi Kristine,

These boots are great I used a discount coupon and I bought 2 pairs Navy and Orange!!! I live in Portland so it rains a lot up here. I use them in the city and when I go walk on the beach, they are so confortable. I think I look a little weird, there are not many men wearing them...I don't get it: they wear flip flops when it rains!!! Well... your comment made me more confident in wearing rubber boots. Thanks!!!

Unisex is the operative word describing Hunter boots. In fact these were originally made as a field boot for men. Kate Moss successfully changed that and lots of women wear these boots today, so the fashion scene actually made these womens boots. I'm a guy and I wear my Hunters daily and will continue to do that eventhough comments like gay (which I'm certainly not) and fetishist (which I may be..:o) is thrown at me like a snow blizzard. Thanks for your uplifting comment about us men wearing "our" rubber boots...:o)

I want these more than I want air. The price tag is way steep (nearly $100!). But the loveliness of stomping a puddle while walking downtown window shopping is a thought that is sheer bliss. PLUS, did you know they come with optional sheepskin foot warmer thingys?? Amazing. (via Kristine)
