This is just one of those unexpected examples of great design. Made of a clear plastic material, the shade is opaque (chrome) when not lit. Once illuminated the inner-workings are revealed. Philippe Starck has made a beautiful piece of functional art that is truly versatile and touches our hearts.

Can an inanimate object be sexy ? Well, if not, this Miss K lamp by Phillipe Starck does a fair imitation of a seductress. The all-black beauty is perfect for the beside table in your boudoir.
