I just bought some sort of Boxee box My primary thinking was that it could be a great solution to getting Spotify into my home media set-up without the need for a PC, and streaming from my iphone. D-link's Boxee Box can really be called a first-class mass media streaming device. The company has made firmware updates that contain made the device a much more attractive option as it just gets better and better. However, it is not really problem-free: there are some glitches with 1080p resolution, but it is a streamer that intend the most number of features and it is the most user-friendly set-top box available in the market. I'm trying to work out if it's possible to 'cache' or 'buffer' (not sure what the right key phrases are) content. Playing content off my home network is a dream. It indexes every thing, and lays it all out in your case. I have a 2TB QNAP at home and this can be the perfect solution to obtain the content onto my nice big TV. The Boxee Box's deserves some points for its appearance alone. While it's called a cube, it's actually a polyhedron - a cube which has a lopped-off corner, which makes it look like an interesting piece when affixed to its green rubber bottom. It looks like its jutting straight from the speaker/stand that I get my TV on, plus it looks really nice. As soon as you connect Boxee Box for your HDTV, however, it functions in pretty quite similar way as other set-top mass media streamers that stream from network and also the web to your TV. An HDMI cable is provided with the box for connecting on the HDTV. For connecting to your network, you have some sort of 2. 4GHz-band 802. 11n Wi-Fi and ethernet. I'm telling the world and if you want one you can have it over here (preferred price I've seen) across on Amazon http: //amzn. to/wd6oqY.
