Feeding is easily the most disgusting element of child-rearing for me, which makes simple items like this Catch Bowl seems so ingenious. The bowl's extended lip catches items falling from the utensils of novice eaters, and the BPA free design adds a real element of security.

Sometimes bibs just don't cut it, and if I could design a bowl that keeps food from spilling all over my floor, I would have come up with this design. This innovated bowl suction cups onto babies tray and a large lip faces baby so all that food falls back into the bowl. I LOVE IT!! (via Babygadget)

This may be one of the simplest, yet most useful pieces of baby gear I've ever seen.

No matter how many times I tell my daughter to keep her head over her bowl while she eats, we always end up with noodles, sauce, veggies, fruit, soup, rice, eggs -- and whatever else she tries to put in her mouth -- all over the table and floor.
