Oprah loves panini makers for sandwich making, grilling fish and other meats. I have always secretly wanted a panini maker. Why I don't know. I am not even really big on sandwiches but everything I have a panini it is delicious.

Breville has a soft spot in my heart, as do paninis. I love them both and would adore the counter space to house this little delight.
My boyfriend is always in charge of cooking our pizza dough on his panini press when we're making pizza at home; it's really time for me to pull my weight. I mean, it's only fair.

The best panini maker. I now own this sucker and abuse it regularly. Just think of new year sandwiches of toasted brioche, topped with creme fraishe and a dollop of caviar.

I know I could get by with heating up two bricks and pressing my sandwich with those and to be fair, that would probably be more authentic. But the thing is, I don't have bricks laying around in my house and so a panini press is ever so handy. Because it doesn't matter what kind of sandwich it is, it always tastes better if you put it in a panini press (except maybe egg salad).

"Prepare caffè-style toasted sandwiches – from Italian panini to croque monsieur, quesadilla and Philly cheese steak – with this versatile countertop appliance. Its special “high sear” setting gives breads a crisp, toasty finish, and the top plate is adjustable to accommodate a variety of fillings without crushing them. The cooking surface can be easily adjusted so fats drain away, and the removable drip tray simplifies cleanup. The nonstick cast-aluminum plates allow the use of metal utensils, and the brushed-stainless-steel finish gives the press its sleek look. Variable heat controls allow it to be used for grilling meats, fish and vegetables."

If you have the time to make a sandwich, you might as well go one step further and make a really delicious Panini with the Breville Ikon Panini Press! It's also one of Oprah's favorite things. (via FashionKitty)

One of Oprah's Favorite Things this year, this panini press makes sandwiches, cooks meat and grills veggies. It's great for the times when you want something yummy but you don't want to heat up the kitchen. (via Oprah's Favorite Things)
