Can a bathtub play Cupid? You bet. One day, Stephanie Bennett, a teacher, designed a bathtub because she didn’t like any of the ones she saw in showrooms. She wanted it made of stainless steel, so she had it specially fabricated. Marriage to the fabricator followed, along with a business partnership and two children. The business is Diamond Spas Inc., which offers custom bath fixtures in stainless steel and copper, including whirlpools, soaking baths, spas, shower pans, and pedestal and vessel sinks. Recently, the DSI Architectural Products division was formed to offer contemporary copper and steel stairway systems. (via Elements of Living)
