Missing your old cassette mix tapes and wishing there was a simple way to copy them to your pc? The URecord is a pass through device that comes with digitizing software - you attach your cassette player (or record player or 8 track player) to the URecord and then attach the URecord to your pc to record directly to a CD or to ITunes. Sounds simple enough. And it's surprisingly affordable.

Isn't easyer to plug the analog sound source in the mic input of a standard audio card and record the sound?
You are right - I'm sure it is easier to do it that way. This looks like a good option for folks who aren't very high tech because it does come with software, too.
