Overall, carpeted staircases are a often a shabby affair, they bring back visions of shag carpet tacked on stairs. The Alto stair treads are a different take on carpeting the stairs. Instead of blanketing the stairs with one carpet, each stair gets its own mini luxury rug. The stair treads, created by Liza Phillips designs, are hand knotted in Nepal from Himalayan wool dyed in beautiful natural shades..
