Finding the right hair products is a very personal search - your hair is different from mine. So let me tell you about me and why I like this product, and you be the judge.

I'm Asian, so my hair is straight and prone to sticking up, especially when short (as it is now). If my hair isn't cut right or I use the wrong product, the hairs on the back of my head stick up like Alfafa from the Little Rascals. I need a product that's strong.

But I also am very particular about how my hair feels. I don't want "helmet head" or flakes, and I want to be able to rinse out everything from my hair when I shower. I need a product that is easy to wash out.

John Allan's Matte is both strong and pliable, plus it smells great and rinses easily. I've never found a combination of all four, so this is the product for me.

Definitely worth trying out, if you go to a high end boutique or department store. It is expensive, but I also don't need to use that much, so it lasts longer than you'd think.
