In many areas where open wood fires are prohibited, a gas pit will pass inspection because it creates no sparks (although you should check your local ordinances to be certain). Can take it out on the beach or out your back door. Very decorative. Very medieval looking. Serves a purpose. Yep, this puppy definitely lights by decorating fire. This is beautiful! When I think of the ugly fire-pit in my back yard, and how cool this one is even when there's no fire, I am ashamed of myself.
